If you are like me, who work with fonts on a daily basis, and need to manage over thousands of fonts, then you should consider investing in a good font manager. Any serious professional graphic designer will know how important font manager can be in your daily workflow.
This blog is for a young, fresh graphic designer who like to add some skills when it comes to handling fonts and make your workflow as smooth as possible.
Don’t be ignorant and think that font utilities provided by Mac, Windows and Linux will supplement your needs, these utilities are not sufficient in a specialized and professional environment. Don’t forget that hundreds or thousands of fonts activated on the system can use up a considerable amount of system resources which in turn reduces efficiency and productivity.
I’ve tried every major font manager in my 12 years of graphic designing career, on both platforms (Windows & Mac) and my favorite best to date is Suitcase Fusion. I have stopped testing any other font manager since few years now.
The latest Suitcase Fusion is loaded with features, I will not write much about the features, as this blog is more into troubleshooting. Consider reading the below two articles, to see what Suitcase Fusion has to offer you.
